Opinion poll: most Russians trust Russian ruble

37% of Russians trust the Russian ruble more than any other currency. 35% choose the US dollar and only 11% like the Euro the best. 17% of respondents remained undecided. These are the results of an opinion poll conducted by the Public Opinion fund in 100 places of inhabitance in 44 regions and republics of the Russian Federation. 1,500 people participated in the poll.

Representatives of the most "low-income" social groups trust the Russian ruble the most. Among them are people over 50 (50%), people, whose level of education is below average (60%), those who earn not more than 1,000 rubles per family member (44%) and inhabitants of rural areas (44%).

Among those who prefer the US dollar are representatives of young and middle-age generations (46% and 42% respectively), people with Higher education (45%) and high-income people (41%).

It is worth mentioning that people living in large cities show rather low trust in the US dollar (25%) and high trust in the Euro (17%), compared to average estimation.
