Transneft to participate in pipeline projects in Latin America

A delegation of the Transneft oil transportation company headed by its president Semyon Vainshtok visited Caracas (Venezuela). This visit took place under the framework of a governmental agreement on economic collaboration signed in December 2001. As Transneft press service reported, a presentation of the company was held during this visit with the aim to establish close cooperation regarding pipeline transportation and actively involve the company in implementing a number of pipeline projects in the Latin America.

Additionally, the delegation held negotiations with president of the PDVSA energy corporation Ali Rodriguez and Venezuelan Minister of Energy and Mines Rafael Ramirez. As it was previously reported, Transneft has already had experience in delivering hydrocarbon raw materials to Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Belarus, India and Middle East countries.
