Gazprom restricts ITERA's gas supplies

Beginning 6:00 p.m. on November 19, Gazprom restricts gas supplies of the ITERA group to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. According to the press service of the gas giant, these restrictions will be imposed due to ITERA's huge long-term debts to Gazprom for storing and transporting gas to the above mentioned countries. At present, it amounts to $110m.

A spokesman for Gazprom's press service reported to RosBusinessConsulting that ITERA's systematic non-payments had made the gas giants turn to gas supply restrictions. In November, Gazprom has already been forced to limit ITERA's gas supplies to Lithuania. Later on they were resumed and all debts settled.
