Two Pacific Fleet vessels are ordered to intercept "Tulun" vessel

Two Pacific Fleet vessels - the hydro-graphic vessel "GS" and the sub-chaser "Admiral Panteleyev" - have been ordered to participate in operation to detain the refrigerator vessel "Tulun" seized by unknown people. The hydro-graphic vessel, carrying modern radio-electronic equipment, is heading to the neutral waters, the Fleet press-centre reported. The "Admiral Panteleev" crew was ordered to head for the open sea. Both vessels are directly controlled from Moscow, the press-service reported.

According to the law, the ship suspected in piracy, must be arrested, but the legislative procedure for the arrest has not been determined yet. The vessel can be arrested only by naval officers. This was disclosed on Wednesday in Vladivostok by Deputy Head of the Pacific Regional Department of the Russian Frontier Guard Service Aleksander Ivankov.

Meanwhile, the frontier guard plane continues to patrol the vessel, the Pacific Regional Department of the Russian Frontier Guard Service press-service reported. The captain of the vessel constantly receives messages, ordering him to head to one of the tree ports - Vladivostok, Nakhodka or Korsakov on Sakhalin. A patrol-craft vessel was also sent for the recapture of the "Tulun".

The vessel is expected to get in a firm "sea trap" in a couple of hours.
