Representatives of group "Russian Far East - US Western Shore" have come to an agreement on regional cooperation

A declaration on regional cooperation was signed in Anchorage by representatives of the working group "Russian Far East - the US Western Shore." The governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Viktor Ishayev, who took part in the meeting, spoke about it on Tuesday. He said that the joint report about the working group's meeting was also signed.

The meeting took place from September 16 to 19. Its co-chairmen were Konstantin Yegorov, department chief of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and Peter Hyle, a representative of the United States Department of Commerce.

In the declaration and the report, the Russian and American sides stated that cooperation could be especially fruitful in the exploitation of energy resources, the development of transport communications and in the further formation of a civil society, the development of the mass media, of small and medium enterprises, in the improvement of public health services, the efficient use of natural resources and in the development of tourism.
