On October 8, 2002, the Gazprom gas holding issued $500m in seven-year Eurobonds with the opportunity of buying them out in three years, the press service of the Trust and Investment Bank (DIB) reported. DIB and the MENATEP St. Petersburg Bank are the senior co-managers in the syndicate for selling this issue; they are the only Russian banks which are participating in this issue. The lead managers of the issue are Credit Swiss First Boston and Salomon Smith Barney.
The Eurobonds are to be redeemed on October 21, 2009. A half-year coupon is to be paid. The coupon rate is 10.5 percent annually in foreign currency.
DIB and MENATEP have placed 10 percent of the issue among their clients.
