Sakhalin "Mountain Air" ski complex presented in Moscow

The presentation of the Sakhalin ski complex "Mountain Air" was conducted in Moscow. This facility is likely to become one of the most promising areas for investors in the Far East of Russia, experts say.

The tourist complex development project involves the construction of new ski trails, hotels, restaurants, spa centers and family chalets. The ski trails will be equipped with many lifts; roads and car parks will be built as well.

"Mountain Air" Ski Resort will be equipped with a number of advantages. An airport is only a 15-minute ride from the complex. The resort is located at a relatively low ridge that has an appropriate level of snow and poses no avalanche threat. In addition, there are many sunny days in the area in winter time.

The project will be implemented in three phases. New trails will be built in the first place. The trails are expected to be 21 kilometers long in total. Afterwards, a mountain village will be built near the Elanki River. Finally, valley complex "Vestochka" and mountain cluster "Chekhov's Peak" will be launched.

According to the Governor of the region Oleg Kozhemyako, first priority attention will be paid to Red Mount - ski slopes, ski lifts and snowmaking systems.
