All Five Chechen Militants Georgia had Extradited to Russia are Alive

The Russian Ministry of Justice has refuted the rumours that one of the five Chechen militants by the name of Khusin Aziyev, whom Georgia had extradited to Russia, had been killed.

An official spokesman for the Justice Ministry reported that the appearance and spread of such rumours is "done on purpose" so as to complicate the extradition to Russia of the 8 militants who are still in Georgia." Earlier, a number of Western mass media spread the information that one of the Chechen militants whom the Georgian authorities had handed over to Russian law-enforcement bodies, had been beaten to death in one of the isolation wards of the Stavropol Territory (South of the European part of Russia).
