Moscow Will Host International Telecommunications Exhibition

On October 21st-25th Moscow's Expocenter halls will host the second exhibition forum on telecommunications, new information and communication technologies and their supplements "InfoCommunications of Russia - the 21st century ("InfoCom-2002")" under the Russian Telecommunications Ministry's aegis, Expocenter's press service has announced.

"InfoCom-2002" will gather about 200 organizations and companies from 14 countries, including Germany, China and the USA. The annual exhibition's main idea is to demonstrate existing and perspective services provided by information and communication technologies. Taking into account the importance of realization of the Federal task program "Electronic Russia" and the principal concern given to implementation of new information and communication technologies, "InfoCom" also aims at developing new concept decisions and their elaboration.

The exhibition center will be held in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Perm simultaneously. Specialists will establish direct video communication between the cities, which will broadcast the ceremony of grand opening, presentation programs and contests as well as interactive exchange of experience in realization of new achievements in information communications. The halls with the "Electronic Russia" exposition in Nizhny Novgorod and Perm will have the same subject contents and work synchronously with the central exposition in Moscow.

The program the "InfoCom-2002" forum also includes the first Russian-German symposium cooperation in information and communication technologies as well as conferences and round tables on a wide range of issues.
