Family with three children should be standard in Russia

In his annual address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that a family with three children should become a standard in the country. 

"Demographers say that opting for a second child is a potential choice in favor of a third. It is important that a family makes such a move," said the head of state.

Speaking about the program of the maternity capital, which expires in 2016, Putin said that one has to think what to do with it next.

A Russian family is entitled to maternity capital after the birth of a second child. Reportedly, the program can be continued after 2016. The main peculiarity of the maternity capital is the fact that parents can not receive the money to spend it as they want. The capital can be used for specific purposes only.
