Finance Ministry to make next payment to IMF

The Russian Finance Ministry will make another pament to the IMF worth EUR79,443,578, or 56.929m SDR, today, the ministry's press service told RBC. The payment will be made strictly according to the schedule. This will be the third payment to this international organization in October. Russia was to pay about $1.5bn to the International Monetary Fund in the whole of 2002. According to preliminary data from the Finance Ministry, the debt of the Russian government to the IMF was $7.7bn as of January 1, 2002. Since January 2002, Russia has already allocated more than $1.2bn to the IMF.
