"Kaluga has geographical advantages. The city is located in the so-called economically advantageous area, near a very large sales market - Moscow. Fine transport communication is also important for us - railways and roads, as well as a future opportunity to use services of an airport. In addition, the decisive factor was the openness and positive attitude of the Government of the Kaluga region, which showed political and economic far-sightedness, created favorable conditions," Technical Director and Acting Director of Volkswagen Group Rus in Kaluga, Andreas Klar said in an interview with Pravda.Ru.
Under the conditions of modern Russia, activities to attract investors remain one of the main areas of work. Investment attractiveness became a major topic for discussion at the forum that was held in September in Sochi, in which the delegation of the Kaluga region, headed by Governor Anatoly Artamonov, took an active part.
"In the Kaluga region, very favorable investment climate has been formed. Investors receive very good support from the regional administration, which contributes to their further development. Russia belongs to promising markets, and our factory in Russia is an integral part of the development strategy, which Volkswagen Group implement worldwide," said Andreas Klar.
Noteworthy, the Kaluga region is one of the leaders in the implementation of investment projects in the region.
