State stake in Slavneft to be sold before December 20

The preliminary date of the auction for selling the state stake in the Slavneft oil company is the middle of December, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov reported to journalists in Yerevan (Armenia). "I believe that the auction will take place before December 20", he said.

The government decided to sell 74.96 percent in the oil company in a single lot. According to expert estimates, the price of the stake is between $1.3bn and $2bn.
