Six people detained in Petersburg on suspicion of killing Galina Starovoitova

Six people have been detained in Petersburg on suspicion of killing Galina Starovoitova, deputy of the State Duma, a well-known politician.

The press service of the department of the Russian Federal Security Service for Saint Petersburg reported on Wednesday that charges have already been filed against four of them, and an accusation against the rest two will be brought in the next few days.

The press service also pointed out that the detained are members of an organised criminal group which maintains inter-regional contacts. They directly organised and then performed this crime.

Galina Starovoitova was shot down at the entrance to her house in Saint Petersburg on the night of November 21st, 1998.
