Moldovan student drowns in Maine

The body of a young man found washed up on a Maine beach has been identified as that of a Moldovan exchange student who was working in the state for the summer.

Dionis Rusu, a 21-year-old from Ciutulesti, Moldova, was found Friday evening on a local beach and the death appeared to be a drowning, said Lt. Bryant White of the Waldo County Sheriff's Department.

Rusu was working at an area motel, White said.
