Israeli warplane crashes, no injuries
An Israeli warplane crashed near the Mediterranean Sea on Thursday, but the pilot ejected from the aircraft and there were no injuries, the army said.
The army said the cause of the mishap was under investigation, but it appeared to be caused by a fire in the engine of the A-4 Skyhawk.
The crash occurred near the southern Israeli port of Ashdod. There were no reports of injuries on the ground, the army said.
