German plane crashes in Switzerland
The German Defense Ministry declared that one of its aircraft has crashed in Switzerland, and a Swiss official added that it appeared to be a combat jet that hit a cliff.
A German Defense ministry spokesman, who declined to be identified, did not have details on the type of aircraft, casualties or exact location.
A spokesman for cantonal police in Bern, Switzerland said the accident happened near the town of Lauterbrunnen. No information was immediately available about the fate of the pilot.
