North Carolina police investigate shootings of six men

Four men were killed and two others wounded in a shooting at a town house in an upscale Durham neighborhood.

The names of the victims were not immediately released, but neighbors said they appeared to be young professionals or college students. The bodies were discovered Saturday night after police were called about shots fired shortly before 10 p.m.

Officers found one man sitting outside the home who had been shot and was bleeding from his face, according to a news release. Officers then went inside the town house and found four men dead and another in critical condition.

Police had not made any arrests or determined a motive Sunday afternoon, a police spokesman. But authorities had reports of three men seen running from the area after the shootings.

Kelly Mullins, who lives two doors away, said she heard a few loud thuds Saturday night but figured it was a neighbor moving furniture. Mullins said she'd met at least one of the men living in the house and that they appeared to be young professionals or college students. A lot of people were in and out of the house, she said, AP reports.
