Three pit bulls seriously injure two children

Two 10-year old children were critically injured Sunday after three pit bulls went on a rampage through the neighborhood, attacking six people before being shot and killed by police, authorities said.

Nick Foley, 10, was in critical condition and his friend Jordan Lamarre,10, was in serious condition Sunday at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, a nursing supervisor said. Four other neighborhood residents were treated at a hospital for minor injuries and released.

No charges had been filed by Sunday, but a McHenry County sheriff's department spokeswoman said the investigation would continue, AP reports.
