About 60 people die when ferry capsizes in Arabian sea

About 60 people died Friday when their overloaded ferry capsized in the Arabian Sea off southern Pakistan, a navy spokesman said.

The accident occurred near the remote coastal town of Kharo Chao, about 180 kilometers (110 miles) southeast of the port of Karachi, navy Lt. Cmdr. Salman Ali said.

Divers from the Pakistan navy are looking for the bodies, but so far only about 60 people have drowned, AP reportes.
