Burglars steal computers from Beslan school

The school, which was to be opened on September 1 in the beginning of the school year, was robbed in Beslan. It is being built in order to replace the one, which was ruined during the hostage crisis in the town in 2004.

Office equipment, including computers and tape recorders estimated at more than 150,000 rubles (about $4,300) was stolen from one of the classrooms of the school. "Most likely, it was a gang of several burglars, because it would be hard for a person to carry this out on his own. Moreover, the police are already looking for one of the suspects," - Beslan construction and assembling management reports.

Schools, which are built and equipped according to all standards in Beslan, are guarded by private security agencies starting from the first day of construction works, news agency ITAR-TASS reports. "The schools are fenced along the perimeter. There are always four people on duty at the gates. Not less than ten people keep order on the territory during 24/7. Each floor has a person on duty who keeps classroom keys," - one of the foremen at the construction site explains.

The police will have to find out how yet-unidentified robbers, managed to get into the building and commit the crime.
