Major shopping centers in the capital remained closed except mini ones and many other small shops doing businesses as usual. The police authorities kept on clearing wreckage and renovatingthose parts of the buildings at respective explosion sites brought about by Saturday's bomb blasts with tight security being imposed upon.

The authorities urged Yangon city dwellers to exercise a constant vigilance against suspicious-looking strangers and objects with security awareness, appealing to the public to cooperate with the authorities to expose the bomb planters.

The three successive explosions within 10 minutes took place atthe Yangon Trade Center and two shopping centers -- Junction-8 and Dagon Center, tells Xinhuanet.

Authorities have blamed an unlikely alliance of ethnic rebel armies and a pro-democracy exile group for the bombings.

Three of the groups, representing Shan, Karen and Karenni &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/hotspots/2001/10/26/19300_.html ' target=_blank>ethnic groups, quickly issued denials.
