New terrorist attack on Russian military in Chechnya

Terrorist attacks take place not only in the European part of Russia and North Ossetia. There are reports on explosions in Chechnya. Russian military is a primary target for attacks there.

At night of September 1, two columns of the army were blown up near Grozny.

The first explosion happened when one of the columns was passing settlement Prigorodnoe situated 5 kilometers South of Grozny. A landmine set by terrorist, exploded. An officer was killed and 7 soldiers were wounded.

Soldier on two armored vehicles rushed to the area to help their fellow-soldiers, and one more landmine exploded. One more officer was killed.

According to RIA-Novosti, doctors were unable to save the lives of the seven wounded soldiers, and they died in hospital in Khankala.
