30 suspects of attack on Ingushetia arrested

Thirty suspects of the attack on the Interior Ministry's premises in Ingushetia (a republic in the North Caucasus, Chechnya's neighbor) have been arrested, Russian Prosecutor General Vladimir Ustinov said on arriving in Grozny, Chechen capital.

According to him, 20 detainees are making confessions.

"These cases will be taken to court in the near future," Vladimir Ustinov noted.

In the early hours of June 22 militants attacked the Interior Ministry's premises in Ingushetia killing 90 men. Over 90 people were wounded.

A cache with ammunition stolen by the militants from the Ingush Interior Ministry on June 22 was discovered near Sagopshi village of Ingushetia's Malgobeksky district, the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry's main department for the Southern Federal District told RIA Novosti on Thursday. Operatives withdrew 81 rounds and 75 cartridges of the anti-tank rocket launcher.

The search for the stolen weapons and ammunition is underway.
