At least one person has been killed in Baku in a clash between police and supporters of Musavat Leader Isa Gambar. According to Day.Az news agency, one of the protestors has died from his wounds in hospital.
A few hours ago about three thousand protestors forced their way through to the main square of the city, smashing at least ten cars on the way, turning over a police van and breaking the windows in all the government buildings. They also tore down all the posters of Geidar and Ilkham Aliev.
The protestors attacked police with stones and iron bars but the police fired tear gas and blank shots in return. A violent brawl ensued.
The square is now empty although there are wounded on both sides and several people have been arrested.
After it turned out that Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov included the Fonbet betting company in the list of backbone enterprises that can count on state support, everyone started talking about these bookmakers.
