Dinosaur's Skull Confiscated from Smuggler in Siberia

In the Beijing - Moscow train, the Siberian customs officers confiscated fragment of a dinosaur's skull from a citizen of China.

The press service of the State Customs Committee reported on Friday that during the examination of the train the customs officers found two petrified objects, weighing 63 and 4 kilogrammes, in the space between the train's ceiling and the roof. In accordance with the exiting procedure, the find was brought to the local department of the preservation of cultural values, reported the State Customs Committee.

The experts have established that the paleontological material was the fragments of a dinosaur's skull, the approximate age of which is 150-170 million years.

A criminal case has been launched against the smuggler.
