Saddam Hussein's stepbrother Barzan-Ibragim Hasan al-Tikriti was arrested on Thursday during a raid by U.S. Special Forces in Baghdad. A spokesperson at the anti-Iraq coalition headquarters in Doha (Qatar) told Rosbalt that earlier al-Tikriti headed Iraqi intelligence. According to Headquarters Commander U.S. General Vincent Brooks, Hussein's brother 'possesses extensive knowledge about the whereabouts of many functionaries of the Baath political party.' Details about the arrest of al-Tikriti were not available. In the near future he will be delivered to Kuwait, a headquarter spokersperson said.
