Alik Hamzatov, assistant officer on duty of the Internal Affairs Department of the Staropromyslovsky region, and his brother were killed in Chechnya's capital, the Chechen Internal Ministry reports.
The two men were killed last night on the Staropromyslovsky highway, the source told RIA Novosti. The criminals opened fire from a Volga car when the men were passing by along the pavement. Kalashnikov rifle and Makarov gun cases were found at the crime scene.
An investigation has been launched into the killing, with a series of measures taken to track down the criminals effectively.
