British Special Forces Enter Basra

British Special Forces Soldiers entered Iraq's second largest city - Basra - on Friday, according to representatives of the Anti-Iraq coalition in Doha, Qatar. Rosbalt reported that there was embittered street fighting in the city. Basra was taken into a blockade ring on the third day of the Iraq war.

However, representatives of the Iraqi government categorically deny information that British soldiers have entered Basra. 'That information does not correspond to reality, and citizens are not giving ground to aggressors moving toward Basra,' said Iraqi Information Minister Mokhammed as-Sakhaf.
