On Wednesday, a Mi-24 helicopter escorting a military convoy in Chechnya made an emergency landing near the town of Chiri-Yurt.
The crew were not injured, head of the Russian Defence Ministry's press service Nikolay Deryabin reported.
The pilot in command took the decision because of an equipment breakdown, he said. At present, a crash crew is working on the scene of the accident. After the helicopter is repaired it will return to the base.
