Members of the Chechen OMON were subjected to an armed attack in the village of Dyshni-Vedeno. RIA Novosti learned from the Interior Ministry of Chechnya that senior sergeant of the militia Ruslan Ustrakhanov was killed, and Abdi Solsayev was wounded in the skirmish.
The incident happened last night, when the unit was returning after a special operation in one of the settlements of the Vedeno district. The bandits were on the watch for them near the bridge and opened fire from submachine guns. It was noted in the Interior Department that the bandits were dressed in fatigues and were driving a car.
A reserve police group took urgent steps to detain the attackers. As a result three men were detained on suspicion of having committed the act of terrorism. All of them are residents of Dyshni-Vedeno. Investigation is underway.
