All bodies from wrecked Mi-8 helicopter recovered

Rescue teams have recovered the bodies of all border guards that were on board the Mi-8 helicopter that crashed in the North Caucasus, reported the press centre of the North Caucasian Regional Department of the Russian Frontier Service.

According to a source in the press centre, the body of the last border guard was found late Monday night.

At dawn, rescue teams have resumed their effort to recover the in-flight recorders from the wrecked helicopter.

On Saturday, July 20, air traffic controllers lost contact with a Mi-8 helicopter. Immediately after that, duty details from the neighbouring frontier posts run by the Nazran border detachment began searching for the missing aircraft, finally recovering its remains on the administrative border between Ingushetia and North Ossetia. All 12 people on board had died.
