Four Temperature Records Registered In April In Moscow

April 2001 in Moscow was similar to April a year before in terms of precipitation and temperature and went down in history as the second hottest (after April 2000) since 1879, RIA was told in the Weather Bureau of Moscow and Moscow Region. Twenty-centimetre snow covered the fields in the first days of April but orchards were already in full bloom at the end of the month. The mean daily temperature equalled 11 degrees C, or 5.2 degrees above the climatic norm. Four temperature records (on April 5, 12, 26 and 27) were registered this April.
