Six Land Mines Spotted And Defused In Chechnya

Russian sappers of the interior troops have spotted and defused six land mines planted on the side of the road near the Prigorodnoye, Benoi, Berkat-Yurt, Bachi-Yurt, Zakan-Yurt and Zandak settlements over the past 24 hours, reported the provisional press centre of Russia's Interior Department in the North Caucasus. Federal units and sub-units have defused four shells, two hide-outs, 19 rounds of ammunition to a hand anti-tank grenade launcher, six mines and 29 mini-oil refineries. Federals confiscated three submachine-guns, ten grenade launchers, one pistol, 46 rounds of ammunition to a tubular grenade launcher, four mines, 24 hand grenades, over 1,000 cartridges to submachine-guns, 1.2 kg of explosives, two electric detonators, a safety fuse and 16 submachine-gun magazines were confiscated.
