Prosecutor-general's Office Wants Gusinsky Back

The Russian Federation's Prosecutor-General Vladimir Ustinov once again confirmed his agency's position concerning the need for extraditing mass-media tycoon Vladimir Gusinsky to Russia. The Russian Prosecutor-General's Office hasn't yet received any Gusinsky files from Spain. On April 23 the national Spanish court confirmed its decision not to extradite Gusinsky to Russia. However, the Russian Prosecutor-General's Office charged Gusinsky with money-laundering operations April 22; previously, Gusinsky had been charged with fraud. Some changes in Gusinsky's case will take place after we receive his files from Spain, Ustinov added.
