Palestinian settlements in Gaza Strip under Israeli fire again

Israeli troops again centred tank fire on the Palestinian settlements of Beit Hanan and Beit Lakhia in the Gaza strip on Tuesday afternoon. The press service of the Jerusalem Post newspaper reported that headquarters of the Palestinian "Detachment-17" elite police troops had been again put under fire. It is also reported that the fire was the next stage of the Israeli forces' action, carried out last night. The Israelis stress that night helicopter rocket fire of the Gaza strip as well as coastal fire from military cutters is a "respond" to the Monday's shelling of the Israeli city of Sderot, situated in Negev near the Gaza strip. In their turn, the Palestinians expressed their outrage in connection with the fire. They stressed that the Israeli actions were but aggression, that could complicate the situation in the Middle East.
