Increased Israeli Patrol, Armor Movement Reported On Lebanese-israeli Border

Increased movement of Israeli military patrols and materiel was reported on Wednesday on the Lebanese-Israeli border, RIA Novosti reported. Lebanese radio said groups of Israeli soldiers conducted heightened surveillance as engineer vehicles cleared dirt tracks along the borderline. Israeli helicopters hovered over the border from the Kfar Shuba farm to Mazariah Shebaa. Lebanese observers have linked the stepped-up activity to the assassination of Israeli Tourism Minister Rehavam Zeevi by Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine militants.
