The security service of the Israeli Ben Gurion international airport is making additional thorough checks of all papers related to the Tel Aviv-Novosibirsk flight. The Sibir airline's Tu-154 plane on Thursday crashed into the Black sea. According to the latest information, on its board were 74 passengers and crewmen. Now passenger lists are being minutely checked. It is important for the Israeli authorities to be sure whether or not the crash is due to terrorism or was an accident. The Israeli transport ministry told the RIA Novosti correspondent that 51 return tickets for the flight to Novosibirsk were bought in Israel. This is a proof that the people who bought them were Israelis. Very many names in these lists are Russian. Those people may be Israelis coming from the former USSR and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Many of them may be of Russian citizenship. No more precise information is so far available. All international flights, both passenger and cargo, from the Ben Gurion airport have been cancelled.
