Murderer Of Two Found In Grozny

The Grozny Department of the Russian Interior Ministry has solved the murder of two people in the city. The provisional press centre of the Interior Ministry troops in Khankala, a southern suburb of Grozny, said that two older residents of Grozny were killed on the night of October 14th, 2001. The murderers took personal belongings and a small sum of money -- the old persons' pensions -- form their apartment. The two men, members of a crime group, who were detained yesterday, have already confessed the crime, the press centre stated. After all the necessary documents are ready, the case will be submitted to court. In the meantime, one serviceman was killed and two were injured during the special operation to detain a member of an illegal rebel group, which was carried out in the town of Urus-Martan on Thursday morning. The military commandant's office told RIA Novosti that special-forces servicemen surrounded the building, where the terrorist was hiding. The rebel was armed, put up resistance, and was killed in the shooting.
