Mi-2 Helicopter Still Lost On Taimyr

Searches for the Mi-2 helicopter, which has disappeared in Taimyr (a peninsula in the Arctic Ocean) are still continuing. According to the latest data, there were 2 crewmen and 5 passengers aboard. According to the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, at 02:00 p.m. the helicopter was not found yet. The press service reported that the Mi-2 denied radio contact with the ground control at 09:50 a. m. Moscow time on Thursday. The Helicopter belonging to the Taimyr-Turaviatrans airlines was flying from the village of Valek to the village of Pelyatka located 68 km West of the port of Dudinka on the Yenisei river. The press service also said that the searches are being conducted by the Mi-2 and Mi-8 helicopters.
