Transcaucasian Highway Closed For Indefinite Time Due To Heavy Snow

The level of snow in some parts of the Transcaucasian highway, a major road that links Russia with Georgia, is two meters deep. A source in the Emergencies Ministry of North Ossetia, a Russian republic neighboring Georgia, reported to RBC that the clearing of snow continues on this highway. According to North Ossetian rescue services, the highway with people blocked on it is under control. At the same time, no officials could name even an approximate date when the highway would be open again. According to specialists, this will depend on the weather.
