Storm Approaches St. Petersburg

Wind speed is forecasted to increase to 22 meters per second in St. Petersburg and in the Leningrad region of Russia soon. This may result in ice breaking away from the bank, the press service of the civil defense and emergencies departments reported referring to the weather forecast center. It warns it is very dangerous to step on the ice now. Residents were also warned that trees may start falling and icicles may drop from roofs of houses.
