Two Militants And 10 Suspects Arrested In Chechnya Over Past 24 Hours

Police officers have arrested 2 militants and 10 persons suspected of being involved in illegal armed formations, over the past 24 hours in Chechnya. This information was disclosed by the press service of the Main Department of Interior Affairs of the Stavropol region (a Russian region bordering on Chechnya.) Besides, there have been found 10 arms caches containing 3 kg of plastic explosives and 1 kg of TNT, 4 rocket launchers, 5 shells, 8 mines, 53 grenades, approximately 8,000 rounds of various-calibre ammunition, 10 pieces of small arms and a radio station. Six home-made explosive devices have been defused.
