Iraq: Reports of Desertion among Iraqi Army is American Lie

Western media are deliberately giving false information about the progress of military activity in Iraq. This was announced to a Rosbalt correspondent by the Iraqi Ministry of Information. Iraqi sources say that reports of panic in Baghdad during the bombing of the capital and also reports of two Iraqi military divisions preparing to surrender to US marines are 'dirty American lies.'

The spokesmen for the ministry warned the world not to believe western journalists. 'All the information from Baghdad should be carefully verified,' the ministry added.
