Fireworks storage explodes in Kirgizia's capital

A fireworks storage has exploded in a large clothes market killing 8 people and injuring dozens.

According to a duty officer of Bishkek's interior department, the explosion occurred at the busiest hour between 10 and 11 a.m., when the market was overcrowded.

All the injured were taken to the local hospital where they are being treated.

Bishkek's law-enforcement bodies have launched an investigation into the accident.
