Some 60 terrorist caches eliminated in North Caucasus in 2002

About 60 militants' caches with arms and ammunition have been eliminated since the beginning of this year beginning in the North Caucasus, primarily, in the Argun gorge, by Granitsa unit officers. The press service of the North Caucasian regional department of the Federal Frontier Service (FPS) reports that the mountain caches contained over 70,000 items of ammunition, 180 kg of explosives, some 360 mines, over 210 grenades, more than 70 firearms, as well as several portable anti-aircraft missile complexes.
