A video has surfaced online showing the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers who attempted to break through into Russia’s Kursk region. The footage was published by Severny Veter (Northern Wind) Telegram channel, which is linked to Russia’s Sever (North) military grouping.
The video, filmed near the village of Tetkino in the Kursk region, shows lifeless bodies of Ukrainian soldiers in a trench. The author of the post says that there are dozens of bodies there.
They enemy attempted to infiltrate Russian territory up to 20 times in groups of around 20 soldiers but was met with fire from Russian paratroopers. Members of neo-Nazi Aidar battalion (designated a terrorist organization and banned in Russia) are said to be among the dead.
The date of the footage is not specified.
During the night of May 20, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group attempted to breach the Kursk region via the village of Volfinо. The attack was repelled by Russian border guards.
Tyotkino (Russian: Тёткино) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) on the left bank of the Seym river in Glushkovsky District of Kursk Oblast, Russia. Population: 3,852 (2021 Census); 4,223 (2010 Census); 5,224 (2002 Census); 5,375 (1989 Soviet census). It is on a small salient of Russian territory, with the Russia–Ukraine border running on the north-west, south-west and south-east of the settlement. To the south is Sumy Raion and to the north-west is Konotop Raion, both in the Sumy Oblast of Ukraine.
