On Monday a large-scale terrorist act was prevented in Grozny.
According to the information provided to the RIA Novosti by chief of the Chechen department of the Interior Said Selim Peshkhoyev, police officers discovered in the immediate vicinity of the building of the republican Department of the Interior a white Lada car filled with explosives.
According to Peshkhoyev, the car contained up to 20 kg of explosives.
He indicated that the car was driven off at a safe distance and blown up. At the moment the car owner was not identified.
Peshkhoyev stressed that in case of an explosion police officers would have suffered heavy losses as it would have happened at the height of the working day.
"There should be no Russian who goes to sleep without wondering if they're going to get their throat slit in the middle of the night,” Milley said
