In Chechnya a 20-year-old terrorist gave up his accomplices in bandit formation

A 20-year-old bandit who was detained by the police in Chechnya, told the names, surnames and addresses of 19 more members of the bandit formation which he belonged to. The regional operations headquarters for controlling counter-terrorist operations in the Northern Caucasus reported that the detained man also said that 16 of the people he named were residents of the Kurchaloi district centre, two -- of the Novaya Zhizn village and one -- from the village of Oktyabrskoye.

It has also been established that on December 19, 2001 the bandit formation, armed with automatic weapons, attacked the building and employees of the provisional interior affairs department of the Kurchaloi district.

Measures are now taken to establish the whereabouts and detain the participants in that attack.
