Donbass may face hunger

Donbass of Ukraine may face the shortage of food supplies. Due to the constant bombardment of the territory, the population do not have time to collect harvest on time, residents of the village of Netailovo, near Donetsk, said.

"We sowed on time, but now the crops are dying. Our tractors and infrastructure is destroyed. What do we have to eat?" says local resident Anatoly.

The locals can not buy food at stores either, RIA Novosti reports.

"They bring only bread here. We have some reserves of our own food, so we can use it for the time being," a woman from the village said.

"I live with my son. He worked as a tractor driver, but now our job is to sit in the basement. No bread, no money - nothing," a local resident said.

Citizens are forced to hide in basements and sleeping on mattresses spread out on the floor.

"We live here, and we spend nights in the basement. Our grandmothers are in basements, people do not go out. I sent my daughter and granddaughter to the Crimea. I stayed here with my husband and my mother. The brother is here too. We hope that all will be well. Life goes on," the woman said.
